Pricing on Shopify

You're billed for data, not views

ShortsWorks for Shopify is a monthly base fee plus delivered data (GB). We don't meter views or impressions — we count the data that actually leaves for a shopper's browser. Charges go through Shopify Billing and appear on your regular Shopify invoice.

Plans

PlanPer monthIncluded dataEstimated playsOverage
Free$020GBAbout 2,500
Starter$19200GBAbout 25,000$0.09 / GB
Growth$49550GBAbout 70,000$0.07 / GB
Scale$991,300GBAbout 165,000$0.06 / GB
  • Free has no overage. When the 20GB runs out your widgets pause instead of billing you, and they switch back on when the next billing cycle starts — or as soon as you move to a paid plan, without waiting for the cycle.
  • Video count — Free stores up to 15 videos. Paid plans have no limit.
  • Features — widgets, Studio, product tagging, channel subscriptions and the mobile app are the same on every plan. Plans differ only in how much data they include.
  • Higher plans cost less per GB of included data ($0.0950 → $0.0891 → $0.0762), and their overage rate is lower too. Moving up is not always cheaper, though — there is a break-even. Growth beats Starter from 500GB a month, and Scale beats Growth from about 1,140GB. Below that, paying overage on your current plan costs less: at 250GB a month Starter is $24 against Growth's $49.

Replays don't use any data

When a returning shopper watches the same video again, their browser cache answers — nothing leaves our side. So replays don't count toward your plan.

  • The same is true when the player reloads or the shopper reopens the same widget.
  • The more a popular video gets replayed, the lower its effective cost per play becomes. Metering views or impressions burns quota on every play; metering delivered data means a cached play is zero.

Spend cap

You set your own limit so overage can't grow past what you're comfortable with.

  • When the cap is reached, only the widgets pause. Your content, settings and analytics stay exactly as they are.
  • Raise the cap or clear it and playback starts again straight away. You can move the cap up or down whenever you want.
  • At the start of the next billing cycle your usage for the cycle resets, so playback resumes on its own even if you leave the cap where it is.

Where to see your usage

In your Shopify admin, under Apps → ShortsWorks:

  • Home — the last-7-day Traffic card shows the current trend.
  • Dashboard — pick a date range to see Traffic over time, and which content and groups are using it.

The invoice itself sits with your other app charges under Settings → Billing in your Shopify admin.

Trial, cancellation and refunds

The Free plan has no time limit, so you can put widgets on your live storefront and decide before paying anything. For paid plans, trials, refunds and cancellation follow Shopify App Store policy — cancel by uninstalling the app or moving back down to Free.

Running a Korean store too?

This plan applies to Shopify stores only. Stores on Korean platforms (Cafe24, Makeshop, FLEXG) are on a separate KRW plan billed directly by ShortsWorks. If you run both, the two subscriptions are billed separately.

Estimated plays assume roughly 8MB per play. The real number varies with video length, quality and device — and it's usually higher, because returning shoppers replay from browser cache without using any data. Your app dashboard doesn't use this estimate: it shows your store's actual measured usage.
