Getting started on Shopify
ShortsWorks for Shopify
ShortsWorks turns your Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok videos into shoppable stories and shorts on your Shopify storefront. Everything is managed from inside your Shopify admin — no code, no manual script tags.
Start free, and pay only for the data your videos actually deliver — see Pricing on Shopify.
1. Install the app
- Open the Shopify App Store and search for ShortsWorks.
- Click Install and approve the requested permissions.
- The app opens inside your Shopify admin under Apps → ShortsWorks.
That's it — installing the app handles the connection automatically. There is no access key to paste and no <script> tag to add to your theme.
2. Create your account
On first open you'll be asked to sign in or create a ShortsWorks account. Your store is linked to that account, so your plan, content, and widgets all live in one place.
3. Add your first content
You can bring content in three ways:
- Mobile app — shoot or upload shorts on the go. See Mobile app.
- Library → URL import — paste an Instagram / YouTube / TikTok link. See Library.
- Channel subscriptions — auto-collect new posts from an account. See Channel subscriptions.
4. Show widgets on your storefront
There are two ways to place ShortsWorks on your Shopify theme, and they do different jobs:
| Floating widget | Widget blocks | |
|---|---|---|
| What | A pinned overlay that follows the shopper | A section placed inside the page layout |
| Where | Any page you choose (all pages, product only, …) | Exactly where you drop it in a template |
| Set up | App embeds in the theme editor | Add section / block in the theme editor |
Most stores use both: a floating widget site-wide, plus blocks on the home page and product pages.
