What images and videos can I upload?

TIP

You can upload images and videos up to 1 minute.

• Ratio — optimized for 9:16 portrait video and images.
• Images — all image formats except GIF.
• Video — 1 minute or less.
• Shot in ShortsWorks — content you record and decorate in the app can be uploaded.

I want to change the thumbnail

TIP

There are two ways to set a short's thumbnail:

1. Auto — the first frame of the uploaded video (default).
2. Upload a separate thumbnail image.

Can I upload a GIF?

TIP

GIF isn't supported. Upload it as a short instead. ShortsWorks streams video from its own servers, so playback doesn't affect your page load.

Can I shoot and upload right in the app?

TIP

Yes — the app has video/photo capture and simple editing, like the social apps you know.

1. Record images or video in the app.
2. Do simple edits — crop, trim.
3. Add stickers, emoji, and product tags.

Can I only upload from mobile?

TIP

You can upload from the ShortsWorks app in Shopify (Library → Upload / Import URL) and from the mobile app. The mobile app is the fastest way to shoot and tag on the go.
